Lewis and Smith Family My you find comfort... July 12, 2007

" May you find comfort in the thought that sorrow, grief, and woe Are sent into our lives sometimes to help our souls grow. For through the depths of sorrow comes understanding love, And peace and truth and comfort are sent from God above."

Lilo and Family,

Our deepest sympathies are sent to you.

Lewis and Smith Family Moment of Comfort July 12, 2007

"Death is a season that all must pass through and, just like flowers, God wakens us too. So why should we grieve when our loved ones die? We'll meet them again in a cloudless sky?"

Sandra and family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ian Garrett We'll miss you mate. July 12, 2007

Nigel,

It is really hard to find words to express how I myself and all your friends here are feeling knowing that the great times we spent with you here have come to an end. Nothing I can write will add anything more to what the people who knew you already know about you of what a kind, caring, thoughtful and altogether fantastic person you were. Ever since I first came to Luanda, you have been one of my closest friends and I have many amazing memories of the times we have spent together which will live with me forever. You were the person who drew everyone together no matter where they were from or what level they were at and the good times we all enjoyed together will be remembered by us all. I can't think of anyone who was more well-liked and loved by such a cross-section of people…

My thoughts and deepest sympathies right now are with your family and close friends of whom there are very many. You were a great person Nigel and a great friend and I will miss you deeply. It was truly an honour to have known you and a privilege to spend as much time together as we did.

Love you buddy,

Ian.

Oliver John Nigel my childhood friend July 12, 2007

Dear Sandra and family, Melvin, Lillo and family,

I am so very very sorry that a very Old and good friend has passed away at such a young age. I hope and pray God blesses all of you and gives you'll the strength and courage to bear this tremendous loss. Our prayers are with you.

Oliver Lizzie and kids.

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Steve Rees My deepest sympathies July 12, 2007

Nigel,

It is unbelievably hard for us all to have lost you.  You were a great friend to me from the first time we met in 1999 and I subsequently had the pleasure of working and socialising with you while living in Angola for the last 3 years.

I always enjoyed your company and will remember your sense of humour, laughter, appetite for life and your generosity to people.  Your parties were legendary.  You truly cared about everyone and I will never forget you.

My sincere sympathies to all members of your family.

Your friend, Steve
